FALL TRIMESTER 1
Core Courses // Synchronous Online Coursework
(both Texas Certification School Leaders and Independent School Leaders)
Consisting of asynchronous or synchronous work throughout the week with weekly 90-minute Zoom check-ins (*Mondays at 7p CST) and collaborative work. Classes will last for eight weeks and will not be taken concurrently.
- EDL 5302 Instructional Leadership (3 credit hours)
- EDL 5300 Research in Education (3 credit hours)
- EDL 5V64 Internship in School Administration (1 credit hour)
*This class will meet 2-3 times on a Wednesday over Zoom for check-ins.
SPRING TRIMESTER 1
Core Courses // Synchronous Online Coursework
Consisting of asynchronous or synchronous work throughout the week with weekly 90-minute Zoom check-ins (*Mondays at 7p CST) and collaborative work. Classes will last for eight weeks and will not be taken concurrently.
- EDL 5359 School Law and Governance (3 credit hours)
- EDL 5344 School Business Management and Finance (2 credit hours)
- EDL 5V64 Internship in School Administration (2 credit hours)

SUMMER TRIMESTER 2
SUMMER 1 // Core Coursework, Intensive in-person (on-campus), 10-11 days in June
(both Texas Certification School Leaders and Independent School Leaders. Independent School Leaders depart 1 day early)
- EDL 5363 Administrative Theory and Educational Leadership (3 credit hours, Dr. Jon Eckert)
FALL TRIMESTER 2
Core Courses // Asynchronous Online Coursework
(both Texas Certification School Leaders and Independent School Leaders)
EDL 5303 Capstone (3 credit hours)
School Leaders will work asynchronously on Capstone with 2-3 synchronous Zoom check-ins.
